Support
How can we help?
Most things can be sorted in a minute. Here are the common ones — and a human is one email away.
Tell us your device and iOS version, and what you were doing when it happened — it helps us help you faster.
·Common tasks
Restore a purchase
New phone, or Premium not showing? Restore it — no re-purchase needed.
Manage or cancel Premium
Subscriptions are handled by Apple. Cancelling keeps Premium until the period ends.
Export your data
Keep a copy of everything as a JSON file, any time.
Delete your data
Erase everything on the device in one step. This can't be undone — there's no server copy.
Notifications aren't arriving
The morning and evening anchors and pause timers are local reminders.
Listening sounds robotic
The library reads aloud with an on-device neural voice, falling back to the system voice.
·Questions we hear
Do I need an account?
No. Stoics has no sign-up and no login. You open it and begin, and everything you write stays on your phone. See our Privacy Policy.
What's free, and what's Premium?
The whole daily practice is free, forever — the morning and evening rituals, today's lesson, basic Control, five open pauses, three habits, one experiment, and every note you write. Premium adds the training layer: unlimited pauses, habits and experiments, the full lesson archive, the weekly report, programmes, focus sessions, the searchable notebook, and the whole library to read and hear.
What happens if I miss a day?
Nothing breaks. Stoics has no streaks to defend and no guilt to catch up on — progress here is measured by how often you return, not how long you went unbroken. An unfinished practice carries over; it doesn't start over.
Is my private writing really private?
Yes. There is no server, and analytics never read your words. Nothing you write leaves your device unless you choose to export it. You can also lock the app behind Face ID in Settings.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. If something went wrong on our end, email us and we'll help however we can.
I have a suggestion.
We'd genuinely like to hear it. Write to support@stoics.app — the app is shaped by how people actually practise.
